WHAT PEEPS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE COURSE

I loved that you provided feedback. With many online course it seems they are sold to you, they get your money then you never hear from them again. The fact that you are so active in the shutterbug club definitely puts your course leaps and bounds ahead.

My Dad was a professional photographer and it was frustrating to never have as good a shot as him after our walks. Needless to say that's completely changed after completing your course.

I loved that you made it all seem so easy with your explanations, you showed us everything you were doing on your camera/computer (which is great because I am a visual learner), I didn't get overwhelmed at all but I still learned so much.

It's been the best learning experience I've ever had, bar none. I'd previously done several hands-on photography workshops and come away forgetting everything, with printed hand-outs that didn't make any sense to me. Doing your course was like having a light-bulb moment every week. It's been a totally uplifting experience and has given me so much motivation to get out there and just do it. I cannot thank you enough for being so open and sharing your experience in photography with me.

I have always loved taking photos. I have been a radio and tv journalist for 20 years and would love to add photo journalism to my skills.
My friends often give me such positive feedback about my images and encourage me to become a professional photographer. Capturing wonderful stories about anything in a single shot makes me feel so alive and happy. I absolutely would love to become a professional photographer and thanks to this course, now have the courage to do so.

I wanted to finally be able to master manual mode. I have had my camera since 2009 and have never taken it off auto. I wanted to be able take quality travel photos and portraits and now I am confident to do that. It is very liberating to have control over the photos that I want to take.

I loved how clear and concise the information and learning material was. There was no jargon, just simple terms and how to, and it was delivered brilliantly. I also love that by the end I can now confidently use my DSLR!!! You did a freaking amazing job putting this together! Thank you for producing such a wonderful place to learn a new skill and be supported. Your course rocked.

So who the heck is
Gemma Peanut?

My photography journey...

The first time I picked up a camera I click-click-clicked away and hoped for a decent shot. And every now and then (after lots of deleting) I’d strike gold! But I didn’t want an amazing shot to be the result of a fluke. I knew there had to be a better way! And when I launched my blog GEMMA PEANUT GALLERY, I simply couldn’t afford to hire a photographer every time I wanted unique and compelling images to beef up my blog posts. So I took the plunge and threw myself heart-first into learning photography and quickly realised that mastering manual mode was the key to seeing the world through a completely different creative lens. And thus, a hard core love affair with photography was born!

The freedom and opportunities that have since opened up to me are immeasurable. To be able to earn a living doing what I love was something I didn’t think possible. And I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed some of the most captivating personalities in the world including Margot Robbie, Teresa Palmer, Phoebe Tonkin, Delta Goodrem, Mimi Elashiry, Ali Simpson, Jules Sebastian, Renee Bargh, Samantha Jade, Rachael Taylor, Melissa Ambrosini, Ashley Hart, Sjana Earp, Demi Harman, Dena Kaplan, Charlotte Best, Anna Heinrich, Eleanor Pendleton, Tash Sefton + Elle Ferguson.
